St. Mary's Church is the central focal point in the heart of the village and is located directly on the "Thuringian Towns Chain" cycle path. It was portrayed by Lyonel Feininger. The Tröbsdorf war memorial was erected for the victims of the First World War. The memorial consists of a brick obelisk on a pedestal, flanked by cannonballs. The pedestal bears lists of the names of those who fell between 1914 and 1918, which were later supplemented by the names of local residents who died in the Second World War. The Merchants' Church (St. Gregory) is one of Erfurt's most historically significant churches. It stands prominently at the northern end of the Anger square and is particularly known for its close connection to the family of Johann Sebastian Bach and to Martin Luther. Founded by merchants as early as the 11th century (hence the name), it is one of the city's oldest parish churches. Luther Site: On October 22, 1522, Martin Luther preached here during his journey from the Diet of Worms. A monument in front of the church commemorates this event. The Merchants' Church is considered the home church of the Bach family of musicians in Erfurt. The church records contain over 100 entries (baptisms, weddings, burials). Of particular importance: Johann Sebastian Bach's parents were married here in 1668.

The beautiful Protestant Church of St. Mary is the undisputed highlight of the Tröbsdorf district of Weimar. Its origins date back to the 13th century.
