After the Second World War, only one ferry ran between Weil am Rhein and Huningue until the Palmrain Bridge was opened in 1979. The three-country bridge for pedestrians and cyclists followed in 2007. As a boy, I always enjoyed this free opportunity to cross the Rhine. Picture of the ferry in the album.
