It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk from the town to the castle ruins. There are also several paths that lead there. One is even a via ferrata. It is very picturesque and there is a beautiful view from the top.

The waterfall also rushes down into the mill pond during the drought summer of 2022. A fairytale sight that invites you to linger and dream. The picturesque restaurant in the water mill entices you to stop by. Unfortunately closed on Tuesday 😔

The ruins of the Lower Castle are worth a visit. From up here, you have a magnificent view of the Moselle Valley. However, you should be in good shape, as there is quite a bit of uphill walking. The path continues via a Stations of the Cross to the Upper Castle and St. Matthias Chapel.

A very nice ruin that is obviously preserved. I love these ruins, whose walls and grounds are so wonderful to explore and take you back in time. Since you have to make a small detour from the dream path (approx. 100 m), it is not overcrowded ... Very nice!
