The Tremsbüttel Manor, also known as Tremsbüttel Castle, is a historic building in Tremsbüttel, Schleswig-Holstein. It was originally built as a manor house for a noble estate and is often referred to as a castle due to its castle-like appearance. The manor has a varied history with various uses, including a hotel until 2020 and a private clinic starting in 2023.

It's no longer worth a visit, as the castle can only be viewed from a distance through the fence. The gardens are also no longer open to visitors.

For over 430 years, Ahrensburg Castle has been one of the most beautiful Renaissance castles in Schleswig-Holstein. During this long period there were joys and sorrows for the castle residents, as well as phases of decline and economic hardship instead of wealth and splendor. The castle museum is impressive with evidence of a long history, from the Renaissance to historicism, and modernity is also represented. Unfortunately the bridge is still broken and impassable. Too bad. But the history of the castle is very interesting. If you are interested in other castle ruins: Cecilieninsel, Burg Ahrensfelde, ring wall on the Elbe-Lübeck Canal or the Ertheneburg are really interesting. With all the examples, the castle itself can only be guessed at.

Tremsbüttel Castle is located in the Stormarn district in southern Schleswig-Holstein. As the residential building of a former noble estate, it is actually a mansion, but has been called a castle for some time due to its castle-like shape. The building from the late 19th century has housed a hotel since the estate's liquidation and is therefore open to its guests, the park is freely accessible all year round.

Pretty castle that shines for a long time with the white facade. From outside the moat there are only two places where you can see the castle well. If you want to see it from close up, take the path over the bridge.
