An interesting fountain with the sagas and legends of Jever.

Take a look at the legend fountain. On the Old Market, the various bronze figures represent the myths and legends of the Jeverland. Whether it's "Horand the Singer", "Maria von Jever", "Count Anton Günther von Oldenburg", "The Scheeper Hare" or "The Witch's Ship Sails on the Jade" - all figures have their own unusual story. By the way: The fountain with its freely moving figures is also very popular with children.

There are nice places to sit and some gastronomy. A delicious ice cream goes well with the break at the fountain.

The Legendary Fountain is very impressive

Many rooms in the Jever Castle Museum show the splendor of the former residence: in the audience hall, an oak, carved wooden ceiling from the Renaissance period (around 1564) has been preserved. The Gobelinsaal unfolds its charisma through the Brussels tapestries from around 1680 and the elaborate ceiling painting from the late 19th century. The stock of leather wallpaper covering three rooms is the largest in public ownership in all of Lower Saxony. A wallpaper in the "antique style" forms the frame for the portraits of Jever's regents in the gallery, in which the Oldenburg (grand) dukes invited to the festive meals.
