A bench overlooking the bridge and the waterfall invites hikers to pause for a moment. Especially during the snowmelt or after heavy rainfall, the waterfall truly shines.

The path is very easy to walk.

The small streams join together and trickle down the rock face. The background is picturesquely covered in moss. It is worth stopping for a moment and just listening to the sound of the water.

Great view of the monastery

A varied little tour around the Wolftal. It leads through charming forests, past babbling brooks and rock formations on the steep valley sides. There are always beautiful views down into the Wolftal and well-placed benches invite you to linger and enjoy. In the village there are places to stop for refreshments right on the way and the pilgrimage church Mater Dolorosa is a cultural and historical gem. According to records, an “old castle” must have stood here around 1655. There probably never was a noble family based on the Burgbach rock. Unfortunately nothing remains. From the Griesbacher waterfall, the hiking trail becomes more exciting.

On the Teufelkanzelssteig you will pass the Griesbach waterfall. From here the path becomes adventurous
