We live less than 100 meters from the castle and we pass right by it on every hike in Bietingen.

A good place for a rest. There's also a barbecue area here, but there's no sign indicating whether it's open to the public. However, no one will mind a short break on the benches, as long as you behave responsibly, don't leave any trash behind, etc.
