The Protestant village church of Schenkenberg is a neo-baroque hall church. The original building was built in 1685 and was a branch church of Baumgarten. On September 11, 1898, there was a fire on the neighboring estate for unknown reasons. Due to strong winds, the fire spread to the adjacent farm buildings and ultimately to the church.
