Very beautiful floodplain landscape that leads through interesting villages with large four-sided farms.

Extensive redesign and renovation work has been carried out at the Papiermühlenwehr barbecue and rest area. The idyllic location directly on the Sprotte River is a popular rest stop for many hikers and cyclists. The barbecue grill, which was deliberately destroyed a few years ago, has been replaced with a new outdoor grill, and a bicycle parking facility has been built. Let's hope the area doesn't fall victim to vandalism again.

Altenburg's market square is a historic site with many sights. The Renaissance town hall is imposing, and the Brethren Church is a jewel on Altenburg's main market square.

This church stands directly next to the confluence of the Sprotte and Pleiße rivers.

The paper mill weir invites you to linger. There are several seating areas, some of which are covered.

The church tower clock has no numbers, but instead shows the motto TIME IS GRACE in letters. On the upper floor of the tower, curtain arch windows from the first half of the 16th century can be seen. During a restoration in 1985/1986, the top of the tower was rebuilt. wikipedia
