Visit Döttesfeld

A very attractive route.

Not only the Wiedtal itself is worth a tour. From there you can turn off at several points up to the Westerwaldhöhen and from there you can ski down charming routes with a great view back into the Wiedtal. It's a bit more strenuous, but it's easy to do, especially for e-bikers, and it's almost a must.

The Catherine Tower from the 13th/14th century formed (together with the moat tower) one of the two imposing entrance gates to the town centre. The Heimat- und Verkehrsverein Stadt Blankenberg e.V. maintains two museums, the Tower Museum in the Katharinentor and the Wine Museum in the Runenhaus. The Wiedradweg is really beautiful! Not boring, but partly on forest paths, gravel paths, unfortunately also longer road sections on quiet country roads. The Wied always more or less in view, bridges, tunnels, recommended!
