Wegefarth Railway Viaduct Information: The railway line crosses the railway viaduct, built in 1868. At times, up to 500 men were employed in its construction. Length: 348 m, height: 39.5 m, 17 arches. It crosses between the two stations Kleinschirma and Frankenstein.

Geographical Center of Saxony. Information: This marker, a granite stele in front of the Diebskammerfelsen (Thieves' Chamber Rock), was erected because the official geographical center (not far from here) was only developed for tourism in 1995.

The Wegefarth railway viaduct, consisting of 17 arches, was built from quarry stone between 1866 and 1868 and is an impressive structure with its height of 41 m and its length of 348 m. It has survived all the turmoil of time well and is now very busy as part of the Saxony main line between Freiberg and Oederan. The cathedral was rebuilt after the great fire in the city and inaugurated in 1512. In 1971 it was extensively renovated and restored. You can visit the cathedral for a fee, and concerts also take place here.
