A beautiful town with the castle as its highlight. The castle is open in the summer from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The forecourt and the castle garden are freely accessible. It was even open today at around 1pm. The daily menu included currywurst, schnitzel and bratwurst. A really lovely and huge beer garden (all new seating outside), very inviting and the food is delicious. Also ideal with children because there is almost no traffic and the adjacent pond is always inviting to watch frogs :-)

The 25 meter high observation tower (colloquially "pencil") was built at a high point in the town in 1893 by the local railway company (LAG) Munich in neo-Gothic style to promote excursion traffic to Cadolzburg.[42] In clear weather, it offers a far-reaching all-round view. It used to be a popular excursion destination, especially for the people of Fürth, who took the train to Cadolzburg at the weekend or especially when the cherry trees were in blossom ("in die Bläih"). A square wooden staircase leads up five floors. About halfway up is a small balcony on the north side of the tower, accessible through a wooden door. Slightly tapered in the upper part, the covered viewing platform juts out over consoles. At the end is a spire with four decoratively protruding windows on each side.
