Burg Castle towers 110 meters high above the Wupper, and the defiant keep can be seen from far away. History comes to life here and you get an impression of what it used to be like. The view from above, over the valleys and heights of the Wupperberge, into the vastness of the Bergisches Land is simply fantastic. The barrier - the barrier structure The dam in the south of Solingen is one of the oldest drinking water dams in Germany. In 1903 it was inaugurated. The mighty quarry stone dam (43 meters high above the foundation level, 178 meters long) can hold around three million cubic meters of water.
