The natural cycle path along the Lutter and through the Lutterwald is beautiful. However, the way is also a challenge. You have to put up with roots, sandy passages and slalon between the trees here.

Schwedenschanze is a common popular name for old ramparts, the origin of which was not exactly known. The rampart next to the refuge is the actual Schwedenschanze and was probably only built around 1673.

The castle complex has been partly preserved, partly rebuilt, or replaced by other buildings. Teaching events are held here, there's a small open-air theater, a playground, a café open on weekends, and a terrace with a magnificent view.
