Emil Ritter von Horstig (1845 to 1931) was the builder of this small and simple, but perhaps for that reason very impressive, "Peace Church". A sign informs: "The Stoderkirchel stands in a rock niche as a symbol of tolerance and mutual respect among the denominations... The drive up the Stoderzinken Alpine Road is an experience in itself. Especially in the last third, where the road hugs the rocks to the starting point. On the short hike from the Rosemi Alm to the Alpengasthof Steiner, you get your first glimpse of the Dachstein glacier high above the forest. A beautiful, narrow path leads directly along the rocks to the chapel, which sits like an eagle's nest on the summit and offers a wonderful view over the Ennstal and to Gröbming and Aich-Assach.
