Unmarked and steep paths lead to this summit, but they are easily recognizable, as people do occasionally find their way here. Nevertheless, there is a good chance of experiencing a solitary and peaceful summit ascent.

There is a winter room here where you can seek shelter from wind and weather even outside of opening hours 👍

Nice hut with a beautiful view into the distance. Hot meals are unfortunately only available until 2:30 p.m. After that, only sandwiches or bread and butter. We were lucky and were given small hot meals. Also important, so you don't get surprised, are these times: Daytime operations 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Before daytime operations: Self-service drinks in the Panorama Room Afternoon break 4:00-5:30 p.m. During the afternoon break: Self-service drinks in the Panorama Room *We at least like the self-service drinks.* Emergency room (Panoramic Room): The Panorama Room remains open at all times – protected from wind and weather – even when nobody is there. The food is very good - definitely different to what you're used to in huts - vegetarians and vegans have a larger selection of dishes here 😋 as an Alpine Club member you get discounts on food and drink!

Right next to the Otto Kandler Haus is probably one of the most beautiful peaks in the Traisental Mountains, and on nice days you have a gigantic view from here!

The summit of the Muckenkogel is always an impressive experience.

Here you have a wonderful panoramic view over the foothills of the Alps.

Simple hut, which is run on a voluntary basis by members of the St. Pölten Mountain Association. Open from early May to early November on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. When the hut is not open, there is a freely accessible winter room with two beds available. We were given a very friendly welcome. The hut is right next to the summit of the Türnitzer Höger.
