The Rattendorfer Alm in the Carnic Alps is surrounded by idyllic alpine meadows where cows graze in summer. The homemade cheese is particularly popular. Very nice, rustic mountain hut with a very good selection of food and drinks, which was perfect after the hike. Friendly, nice service and a great conversation with the boss. Highly recommended.

The Pramosio hut is located in a fantastic place, easily reachable even by car. Various paths start from here, including a visit to Lake Avostanis. At the Malga you can eat and buy local products. Great place highly recommended.

A beautiful mountain hut that can be reached by car (be prepared for 15 minutes of hairpin bends on a steep dirt road among the fir trees). The place is crowded on summer holidays, but on the paths you can find peace and beautiful views. At the mountain hut we ate some good desserts and I bought some excellent cheeses. I would like to go back to eat the first courses!
