The railway cycle path from Bad Tatzmannsdorf to Oberwart is traffic-free and gently downhill throughout, and from Großpetersdorf to Rechnitz the cycle path is also traffic-free and easily suitable for families! In Hannersdorf there is a lovely rest area with a wooden train.

Rotenturm Castle, located in Rotenturm an der Pinka in Austria's Burgenland, is one of the most important historicist country castles. Built in the 1860s as the seat of the Erdödy family, it is privately owned and is available for events such as weddings, private parties, corporate events, or as a photo or film location.

If you're planning to explore this area by bike, on a run, or while hiking, make sure to bring your own Merlot. The region is known for its stunning views and outdoor activities, but finding a good spot to enjoy a glass of wine can be a challenge. It is a very nice cycle path with a rest area to Gr. Petersdorf with repair tools and a rest area near Rechnitz are both very nice. This railway path is also highly recommended for families. Don't forget the wooden locomotive in Hannersdorf with a playground and pasture area.

Rotenturm Castle is a beautiful eye-catcher in the middle of the agricultural landscape. The current owner has extensively restored the building and made it accessible to the public at certain times.

Unfortunately it is currently closed due to flood damage between Oberwart and Bad Tatzmannsdorf.

Be sure to stop and take a picture with or without a frame - but take a picture! Definitely worth seeing!
