Schlaining Castle is a must if you want to learn more about Burgenland and its history. It is also one of the best-preserved medieval castles in Austria. A visit to the museum is well worth it, there is a lot to learn and discover.

The castle complex is impressive and absolutely worth seeing. A walk around the castle through the moat is particularly worthwhile. Access to the castle courtyard is free.

11/04/2018 - Currently on view in Schlaining Castle - Peace Museum - Violence - Conflict - Peace. The castles in Burgenland are worth more than a trip. They are among the most important landmarks of Burgenland.
