"Is it always something special for you?" asks presenter Werner Schmidbauer, as he reaches the summit cross crowning the mountain with Munich pastor Rainer Maria Schießler in an episode of the Bavarian Television series "Gipfeltreffen" (Summit Meeting). The observation tower is a former border watchtower that was dismantled elsewhere after the fall of the Iron Curtain and rebuilt here. People with a head for heights and slim people have an advantage on the ascent. Better leave your backpack down, the top staircase is very narrow.
