The bench is located directly beneath a shady tree, to which a simple yet expressive wooden wayside cross with a figure of Christ is attached – a quiet place for contemplation in the midst of nature. The drinking water fountain installed next to it is particularly original: a small tap protrudes from a hollowed-out tree trunk, providing fresh spring water to thirsty hikers and cyclists – a charming yet practical solution that blends harmoniously into the rural surroundings.
