The house at 'Marktstraße 84,' also called the Hessesches Haus (Hesse House) because it was built by Johann Hesse, is a stately four-story building with magnificent carvings, built in 1620 with Renaissance elements. The old house has been breathed new life in recent years. Professor Hans Georg Näder and Peter Maffay developed the Tabalugahaus here. It enables groups of children and young people, together with their caregivers, to stay in Duderstadt for five to ten days.
