The museum is located in the historic Linz Castle, which was rebuilt by the Habsburgs in the 15th and 17th centuries. The modern south wing of the museum opened in 2009 after burning down in 1800. The Linz Castle Museum has an extensive collection of more than 160,000 objects, which are presented in various departments. A suit rethought”, which deals with the fashion and lifestyle of Upper Austrians. The Linz Castle Museum is an exciting and educational experience for the whole family. There are special educational programs for young visitors that prepare the exhibitions in a child-friendly way. You can also buy original souvenirs in the museum shop or take a break in the museum café. The Linz Castle Museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Entry costs 6.50 euros for adults, 4.50 euros for concessions and 13 euros for families. With the Linz Card you get free entry and many other benefits.

Built in 2009 on the occasion of the European Capital of Culture. From the terrace you have a wonderful view over the old town. A must visit for tourists.

From here you have a super great view of the castle and the place, which is always worth a detour. The ferry crossing alone is an experience in itself.
