The neo-Gothic Langenohl Chapel is located in the Eastern Cemetery in Paderborn. Its construction began in 1868, four years after the cemetery opened. The designs were drawn up by cathedral master builder Arnold Güldenpfennig. The chapel was opened in 1870. The chapel was initially called the "Poor Souls Chapel" and was only later named after chaplain Joseph Gustav Langenohl, the initiator of its construction. A technical renovation has recently made new uses possible. In addition to funeral services, the chapel is now also used as a concert hall and for art exhibitions.

The Externsteine, an imposing rock formation about 40 meters high in the Wiembecke valley near Horn-Bad Meinberg, are among the most famous natural and cultural monuments in Germany.
