美しい塔には広い上がり口があり、石積みが良い。頂上に着くと、あらゆる方角を見渡せ、案内板や刻まれた名前で助けられる。角を曲がったベンチが、くつろぎを誘う。

On the occasion of the patronal feast found here – the popular pilgrimage church in the Graz area is dedicated to "The Nativity of Mary" – I would like to offer those staying here a short reflection by Saint John of Damascus (born 675/676, died before 754): "The day of the birth of the Mother of God is a day of universal joy, for through the Mother of God the entire human race was renewed and the suffering of the first mother, Eve, was transformed into joy."

At the top of the mountain you have a great panoramic view of the city, ideally sitting on the wall with a drink. It is also a great place in the evening to enjoy the city lights.

Many roads lead to Rome - but also to the Schlossberg. The Schlossberg is the striking hill in Graz, on which the clock tower and the bell tower are visible from afar. The ensemble is the landmark of Graz. I highly recommend that you climb the Schlossberg from different sides. The castle mountain climb is exciting, but the less traveled paths are also a highlight.

The pilgrimage church stands on the 469 m above sea level. A. high Purberg, a ridge in the northeast of Graz.

The Schlossberg is always worth climbing. Many different ways lead to the goal. The gigantic view of the city is the reward for the effort.
