The route from Fontaneda cemetery to the Sant Julià de Lòria road is approximately 6 kilometres. In this direction, the gradient is mainly negative, with a cumulative descent of around 400 metres. This makes it a route that is mainly downhill, although there are some sections with minor climbs. The terrain is still a combination of well-packed dirt tracks with more technical sections of gravel and rock, especially in the steeper parts of the descent. It is suitable for MTB, but requires some skill to handle the more technical areas, especially on the descents.

It is one of the highest points accessible by mountain bike (MTB) and eBike in Andorra. It is a popular destination among cyclists due to its spectacular surroundings and the challenges offered by the climb. The starting point at the Ordino Arcalís ski resort to the summit of Les Portelles covers approximately 7.5 kilometres. The cumulative positive gradient is significant, reaching 700 metres of vertical ascent from the base of the resort to the summit of Les Portelles, which is around 2,560 metres above sea level. The terrain is varied, combining stretches of asphalt in the first sections with dirt and gravel tracks as you ascend. At some points, the terrain becomes more technical, especially near the summit, where rocks and the incline add difficulty. The climb is considered to be of high difficulty due to the gradient and terrain conditions. It is a demanding route for both MTB cyclists and eBike users, who will enjoy the additional challenge offered by the altitude and changing weather conditions in high mountains.

Vallnord offers tracks of different levels for all mountain bike disciplines: 19 downhill circuits, 2 enduro circuits, 3 cross-country circuits and a pump track, among others. The downhill circuits are world famous among riders. One of the MTB World Cup events, in the Cross Country Y (XCO) and Downhill (DHI) disciplines, will be held again in 2018 in this season, as it has been in recent years. The downhill circuits are the biggest attraction of Vallnord in summer, taking advantage of natural paths, you will go down through forests without hardly pedalling, encountering a great variety of natural jumps, plus some artificial ones. Up to 40 km of descent in an unbeatable environment, some dizzying descents that can start in the Cubil de Pal and end in the centre of the town of La Massana (about 1000 metres of gradient). There are different levels, which are classified in the same way as in skiing, including green for beginners, blue, red and black for the most experienced or daring. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30ScypXshZI

In summer, from here you can go down by MTB or e-bike to Soldeu. The gondola was built by Pomagalski, as the existing old chairlift did not have enough capacity. The line has a first flat part, where it passes over the Valira river, and later climbs with a steep slope until reaching a new flat section, ending with a final slope. The upper station houses the engine and cabin storage. In 2006, a new chairlift parallel to the cable car was put into service, with a greater capacity than the old one, and is preferred by skiers to go back up to Pla dels Espiolets.

Ski slopes in summer are adapted to create downhill circuits for mountain bikes. These descents are designed for different skill levels, from beginners to experts, and allow cyclists to enjoy the adrenaline of going down the mountains at high speed. Bike Park: In Grandvalira, of which Pas de la Casa is a part, there is a Bike Park with multiple downhill and enduro circuits, jumps, ramps and technical areas, designed for cyclists looking for varied challenges in their MTB practice. The chairlifts used in winter for skiing, in summer transport cyclists and their bikes to the tops of the mountains, from where they can start their descents https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6d4roB-DjXk

Pas de la Casa, meaning "House Pass", owes its name to a small shepherd's house that was located in the area. This area was historically sparsely inhabited due to its harsh climate and high altitude (about 2,080 metres above sea level). It was during the 20th century that Pas de la Casa began to develop significantly, especially due to the construction of the road connecting Andorra to France in 1933. This facilitated access and encouraged the growth of the local population and economy.

An adventure ski resort town on the banks of the d'Arige river which turns hiking and biking heaven in the summer season, with plenty of trails to explore in the surrounding mountains.
