A stone's throw from the ferry port to Entebbe you will find several hotels and camping spots. We slept with our tent camp on a field on the edge of Lake Victoria, but perhaps enjoyed the swimming pool we found in the Kalangala Pearl Resort even more, especially since swimming in fresh water in Africa is strongly discouraged. And if you think, Resort sounds fancy, you should not expect too much of it, but it is fine at the end of a long day of cycling and the view is excellent.

Exploring the Munyaga Falls Trail in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwest Uganda offers a unique opportunity to hike through the dense jungle to discover this natural beauty. Nestled amidst the lush, dense rainforest, the Munyaga Falls Trail winds along the course of the Munyaga River. The trail itself stretches for approximately 5 kilometers.

The Buhoma region lies on the northern side of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and is one of four tracking regions. Other trails have been developed in this sector, including the Munyaga River Trails in the Buhoma Valley, a short walk for bird and primate viewing along the forest edge; the Waterfall Trail, which passes among tree ferns, epiphytic ferns, and orchids to visit three dazzling waterfalls; the Rushura Hill Trail, the Muzabajiro Loop Trail, and the River Ivi Trail, the latter of which follows an old road through the forest and emerges near Nkuringo at the southern edge of the impenetrable forest. The Buhoma Community Walk and cultural performances, which last up to three hours and include visits to a typical homestead, the traditional healer, and a banana beer brewery, are organized by the local community. More recently, the Batwa cultural experience has been developed in this part of the park.

Entebbe is a small, peaceful town, idyllically situated on the shores of Lake Victoria in Uganda. Unlike Kampala, the capital of the "Pearl of Africa," life here is much more relaxed, making it a worthwhile day trip for both locals and tourists. Many nature tours depart from Entebbe.

Mubwindi Swamp is a popular destination for hikes that explore the park's unique flora and fauna. There are also hikes through parts of the park where elephants live, such as the 3-hour Mubwindi Swamp hike.

It is the popular tourist attraction in Kampala, open 9am to 7pm.
