The Mönchsjoch Hut is located in the middle of the Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site, at the foot of the Great Aletsch Glacier. It is the highest manned hut that is entirely on Swiss soil. https://www.moenchsjoch.ch

The circular trail is almost 500 metres long and always offers you the perfect view of the UNESCO World Heritage Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch. Information boards along the route provide interesting facts about the largest ice stream in the Alps and the surrounding mountains. The circular trail starts directly at the Eggishorn mountain station.

Just ten minutes' walk from the village center of Bettmeralp, the barrier-free Bettmersee is a special idyll in the Aletsch Arena holiday destination. The 2,926 meter high mountain is accessible by a cable car and is very popular because of its great panoramic views

The mountain above is reflected so beautifully in the early morning, but the lake also shines beautifully red in the evening when the sun sets. Swimming is probably not forbidden - but you shouldn't expect Mediterranean temperatures at 2000m altitude

I was up there in August and it was freezing wind! Wears more than slippers, t-shirt and shorts!!!
