The correct name is "Neutor" (New Gate). Enjoy a pleasant, leisurely ride through the old town center to the highlight: the Erpel town gate. The Neutor is part of the second town fortifications, built around 1420, which were needed after Erpel expanded to the north. Fast ferry, ideal for crossing. It runs continuously, back and forth. Weekdays 5:15 a.m. – midnight, weekends from 6:00 a.m. Cost: €1.80, payment by card/NFC accepted. I actually wanted to take the Nixe ferry in Erpel-Remagen. It only runs every 30 minutes, so I ended up driving the extra 4 km here :-).
