Beautiful cabin

The Capanna Brogoldone is an alpine pasture with two main huts. One hut can accommodate up to 59 people. The other hut houses a small restaurant. Amazing views from up there!

The Capanna Brogoldone was once a mountain pasture and is today the result of a desire to preserve the remains of a bygone era. From 1995 to 1998, a group of volunteers set to work renovating the two existing buildings while maintaining the typical structure of the pasture: the former stable became a dormitory, and the building that once served as a cheese dairy and shelter for the mountain herders was converted into a kitchen and dining room. The Prou hut is located on the alp of the same name and offers a splendid view of the valley.

The Quarnei hut offers a breathtaking view of the Malvaglia valley. Here, it is possible to taste tasty typical dishes and also stop for the night (there are 58 beds). The hut is also an excellent starting point for excursions to the surrounding lakes and peaks.

A beautiful place with an Alpine soul. The shelter has thermal insulation, electric lighting with solar panels, running water in the shelter and in the bathroom, wood stove for cooking and heating. Modern dormitory with 24 beds with wool mattresses and blankets. ATTENTION: from here on, following the path towards the Alpe Costa refuge is suggestive but requires experience and surefootedness, the terrain is rocky.

On a panoramic terrace overlooking the Lumino valley, stands the Brogldone hut. Excellent for a break to fill up on energy!
