The town of Enns is considered Austria's oldest town and boasts a rich history dating back to Roman times. Wonderful circular hike away from the hustle and bustle in the hilly Mühlviertel landscape. The legend of the devil (information board at the summit cross) is really brilliant, a clever farmer😜

Enns is considered the oldest town in Austria. Very pretty, nice to walk around and have a meal at the main square.

The hiking trail is also wonderful when coming up from Windegg. The last stretch to the rock formation is then a matter of personal judgement.
