The Doni's lookout tower, 13 meters high, stands directly on the Danube on the Au nature trail. When the weather is nice, there is a wonderful view of the Lower Austrian Alps, the Mühlviertel and the Danube. If you look through the Viscope, you know where you are looking. Each targeted point is listed, such as which mountain or which town can be seen. If you leave the lookout tower and walk a bit down the Danube you will come to the Doni, the accessible fish. this is made of galvanized sheet metal with an open mouth, from which you can see the wooden tower. Between the observation tower and the Doni fish there is a fish ladder that allows the fish to migrate. A visit to the nature trail also offers insights into the animals. and flora between Au/Donau and Naarn, which is described on display boards.
