Quaint little hut that is laboriously supplied by minibus through the Wimbach scree

We took a break today on our way back from the Blaueishütte, and I highly recommend stopping there. Delicious food and incredibly friendly and attentive service. If the journey weren't so long for us, we'd definitely come more often. 🥇

I like it here because it's not that big, the operators are very friendly and accommodating and because you have a beautiful view. But as I said, I think it's pleasant that it's not a huge hut but small and nice 😇

Very easy and, above all, quite fast hike to the “Toten Mann” summit. A wonderful experience, especially now when autumn meets winter. The view of the surrounding peaks is amazing!

If it hasn't been mentioned yet, the cake is very good.

Beautiful panoramic peak in the mountaineering village of Ramsau. Worth a detour from the Hochschwarzeck mountain railway or a hike from Bischofswiesen over the Götschen.

The hosted Wimbachgrieshütte is located in impressive surroundings in the rear Wimbachtal. The small hut is open from mid-May to early October and serves as a base for various hikes. The promising Watzmannhaus serves as a base for climbing the Watzmann. The hut is open from May to October. There are 200 beds in the dormitory and shared rooms.
