The Hausbachfall in Reit im Winkl is an impressive waterfall located in the middle of an idyllic gorge on the edge of the town center. Reit im Winkl's waterfall, the Hausbachfall, is a small landmark of the town. The Hausbach stream rushes down the Hausberg mountain in the north, very close to the town center. Especially after heavy rainfall, enormous masses of water rush down through the gorge. In hot, dry summers, however, it is sometimes barely visible. I made the climb at 5am with 15cm of fresh snow, the hiking trail is very well signposted but also challenging, I think it doesn't matter whether there is snow or not, it goes over steps and a small stream. From the bridge in front of the waterfall you have a great view of it. On one side of the bridge you can get to the waterfall basin.
