The Belchenhaus was built in 1898 as a shelter below the Belchen summit. It is located at 1,360 meters and is therefore the highest inn and restaurant in Baden-Württemberg. Guests sometimes describe the south terrace in front of the house as one of the most beautiful tavern terraces in the Black Forest.

The Belchenhaus is at an altitude of 1360 m. Hiking trails lead here from all directions, or you can also use the Belchenbahn, whose mountain station is right next to it. We recommend taking a break here with a fantastic view to the south and the🇨🇭! You can fortify yourself in the rest. Or on the terrace, or have a picnic on the many benches. In 15 minutes you can also reach the Belchen summit, from where you can enjoy a magnificent 360° view!

Ideal place for a rest. There are hearty but also Vespers for the small appetite. The atmosphere is just pleasantly inviting and it's wonderfully quiet. There is a nice play area for children!

It is worth stopping here and - when the weather is nice - enjoying the great view. 2 Viennese, 1 tea, 1 wheat beer and 1 fruit schnapps cost around 14 euros. The cakes looked delicious. Gladly again 👍😀

The Todtnauer Hütte is the southernmost of the managed huts around the Feldberg summit and can be easily integrated into hiking tours - even from hut to hut.

Good kitchen, great view, rich breakfast, very nice staff, cozy rooms, easy access, parking in front of the house. Just great!

The Belchenhaus has existed as an inn since 1867, which was later rebuilt several times. The mountain station of the modern cable car has been right next to it since 2001.

From the Todtnauer Hütte to the Hebelhof there is a very beautiful, level panoramic path with a view of the Wiesental and, on a very clear day, to the Swiss Alps. Todtnauer Hütte is closed on Mondays.
