Very well laid out, wide, solid forest paths.

The smugglers' trail from Wannenjoch to Iseler - great fun for the whole family! The hiking trail called "Smugglers' Trail" from Wannenjoch to Iseler. This trail was a popular smugglers' trail because of its proximity to the border, and you can still feel that today. A unique adventure for young and old. You will be greeted by the so-called "Schwärzer" at the valley station and you decide which role you will take on: that of the smuggler or that of the border guard. When you arrive at the mountain station, you will receive the smuggler's or border guard's utensils and will be initiated into the respective task. You will now walk the smugglers' trail and, as a smuggler, you will have to transport the smuggled goods from Tyrol to Bavaria and, as a border guard, track down as many smugglers as possible. Once you have completed the task, all hikers, whether smugglers or border guards, will receive the "smugglers' pass".

It really is a very beautiful hiking trail with many very different passages 🤩🥾 In fact, you really should be sure-footed (the signs say so too) and it can of course be a bit slippery after a rainy day 😅 We had fun despite some passages that were a bit difficult for us 😁

It's unclear to me where the name comes from, but as far as I know it's actually the Philosopher's Rise. But very beautiful.
