Clean rest area in the immediate vicinity of the Perlenbach.

Nice covered rest area that offers us welcome shelter during a rain shower.

This former watermill was built in the 17th century and competed with the older Lukasmühle further down the valley. Destroyed by flames in 1982 - rebuilt and badly damaged in the 2021 flood. Open again on weekends since summer 2023. The gable on the main house is dated 1663. Beautifully restored quarry stone half-timbered building.

Rarely seen such a cozy hiker's hut!

In addition to the bread trail hut near Blankenheim, it is probably one of the most beautiful mountain huts in the Eifel. Absolutely worth seeing!

Here in the newly built shelter hut "Oberer Steg" people like to take a break and since most of the daffodil hikers "frolic" in the Perlenbachtal, this is usually occupied.

Very nicely designed pavilion with picnic area built in 1992. Very nicely situated on the slope, ideal for a short rest and with a beautiful view of the Olef and Hellenthal.

From here you should continue on the path on the right side of the Perlenbach. It's the nicer alternative. Finally, you get to the "Unterer Steg" junction, where there is a rest area on the Perlenbach. There are various ways and paths to explore the area further. For example, the "White Cross", which is located on a hill above the Perlenbach and can be seen from the Unterer Steg rest area.
