If necessary, only during the week and outside of holiday season. The many flies from the cowshed are also annoying when you can sit outside. You can eat delicious food in peace and quiet at the Krone in Stein and in the Sonne in Niedersonthofen.

Fantastically located ruin with a great view towards Oberstdorf. It's worth stopping off at the castle cafe. Nice to combine with a walk through the Werdensteiner Moos.
