he Archaeological Museum of Ilida, designed by the architect Anastasios Biris, was built in 2002-2004 on the southeastern outskirts of the ancient city, on the slopes of the Acropolis hill. The collection of the museum presents finds related to the history of the ancient city of Ilida, the city organizing the Olympic Games that were held in Olympia.

Since the beach borders directly on the Kotychi Strofylia Wetlands National Park, it's an excellent spot for observing migratory birds like flamingos, especially in spring. The long sandy beach is ideal for swimming, but its location often makes it feel isolated and wild. The area is part of the Natura 2000 network and is protected under the Ramsar Convention. Visitors are asked to be mindful of protecting the fragile dunes. The best access is via dirt tracks from the surrounding villages, such as Areti or Lechaina.

The beach is part of a strip of sand that separates the lagoon from the sea. It features a well-developed dune system with rare flora. The area is considered one of the few places in Europe that has remained largely untouched by human intervention. There are no large hotels directly on the water, which makes the beach very quiet and spacious.

The Kotychi Lagoon (Greek: Λιμνοθάλασσα Κοτύχι) is the largest lagoon system in the Peloponnese. It is a central component of the Kotychi-Strofylia Wetlands National Park. The lagoon covers approximately 750 hectares and is separated from the Ionian Sea by a roughly 5 km long sandbar. Its average depth is only between 0.4 and 1.0 meters. As a typical Mediterranean lagoon, it is an important area for the wintering, breeding, and migration of waterfowl, including rare species such as the ferruginous duck. The lagoon serves as a natural fishery (vivarium) where traditional fishing methods are practiced.

From the castle of Chlemoutsie you have a wonderful panoramic view towards Kyllini.

The climb offers a panoramic view of this entire region of agricultural valleys, an astonishing, very green region, which strangely brings to mind some landscape in Ireland.
