If you climb from Kleinwalsertal, the short detour to the Kuhgehrenspitze is worthwhile just for its panoramic view.

We came from the Walser Hammerspitze and wanted to go to the Fellhornbahn. The view 👀 of the Kleinwalsertal is great. There is also a signpost that shows the various options for further hiking trails

The ascent was very well renewed by the Alpine Club after the mudslide disappeared in 2022. New wooden steps were installed. However, part of the comparatively less steep part is now in the shade in autumn and is therefore muddy and slippery. A hiking stick is helpful here. A beautiful path with great views and variety for experienced hikers.

Coming from the Kuhgehrenalpe, after a short detour to the Kuhgehrenspitze, you can either climb up to the Walser Hammerspitze or continue hiking halfway down the ridge path between Kanzelwand and Hammerspitze past the 'Adlerhorst' to the Kanzelwand mountain station.
