The summit of the 620 m high Lämmerberg (or Wülzburger Berg) is located in the middle of the Wülzburg fortress. It is part of the low mountain range of the Franconian Alb, after the Laubbichel, the Steinberg and the Auf der Ebene the fourth highest elevation in the Weißenburg Alb and the fourth highest in the east of the Bavarian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen.

On the covered path you can walk all the way around the Hohenzollern Wülzburg fortress. From here you have great views of the impressive walls and to the west over Weißenburg and into the distance

The fountain was created around 1600 and is one of the deepest fortress fountains in Germany. Impressive!

Above Weißenburg, on the 630 m highest hilltop in the southern Franconian Jura, lies the Hohenzollern fortress of Wülzburg, with a restaurant and a fantastic view of the landscape.

On the circular route you automatically pass the "Hauptwache" viewing platform and the "Kaltes Eck" viewing point. At the latter there are several places to sit and lie down to enjoy the view. However, it is quite windy, so the name is not a coincidence 😉.
