In 1927, the Büble (little boy) was donated by Hugo Fahr, presumably to mark the 25th anniversary of the city park. The Büble (little boy) on the bowl fountain quickly became a significant part of the city park and was an integral part of it for 90 years. At the time, Hugo Fahr was managing director of the Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF) and an honorary citizen of the city of Geislingen. He placed the little boy in the city park "out of devotion to his hometown," as a GZ report from those days put it. The figure was manufactured using copper plating at the WMF Galvanoplastiken (galvanizing plant). The WMF was located across the street from the city park—very close to the location of our fountain Büble. In 2018, the old fountain Büble was accidentally destroyed during tree felling. The city administration then launched a call for donations, asking anyone who owned a replica of this figure to use as a model for a reproduction. (Source: Display board) In fact, an old model was found, allowing the ever-popular fountain to be reconstructed.

The former Lower Roggenmühle is now a horse stud farm and was connected to Roggenstein Castle as a supply post. Roggenstein Castle is a ruined rock castle on the 570 m above sea level Roggenstein above the Lower Roggenmühle near Geislingen an der Steige in the Göppingen district of Baden-Württemberg. The castle was built between 1150 and 1170 by Konrad von Roggenstein and abandoned around 1250. In 1281, a Konrad Ruggestain, a citizen of Geislingen, was mentioned. Source: Wikipedia

From 1291, the village of Eybach, including Hoheneybach Castle, was owned by the Ellwangen Monastery. Until the middle of the 15th century, several noble families were vassals of the manor, including the Ahlfingen, the Randegg, and the Knights of Zillenhard. In 1456, the village and the lordship were sold to the Counts of Degenfeld, who were enfeoffed with it by the Ellwangen Monastery in 1457.[4] Between 1540 and 1546, Martin von Degenfeld built a Renaissance castle, the predecessor of the present castle,[1] which served as the family's main residence after the destruction of Hoheneybach Castle in the Thirty Years' War.[5] The main building of today's palace was built between 1766 and 1772 under Count August Christoph von Degenfeld, designed by the Württemberg State Building Inspector Johann Adam Groß. The east wing was added between 1772 and 1775. Source: Wikipedia It is still the seat of the Schonburg Revenue Office of Count Degenfeld.
