この光景はいつも見られるとは限りません。雪解け水や激しい雨だけが、斜面から水が湧き出たり、流れ落ちたりして、石灰華（トラバーチン）の岩の上をせせらぎます。 雪解け水と雨水は、Monkbergのカルスト化した石灰岩を浸透し、水をせき止め、さらに流すWeißen Jura Alphaの泥灰岩層に到達します。その後、Untere Haldeの谷の切り割りに、いわゆる層状の泉として現れ、その過程で水との結合から溶け出した石灰分を石灰華（トラバーチン）として堆積させます。

The descent is very steep with ropes

You can see the waterfall up in the bushes to the edge of the cliff and further down from the bridge. Next to the bridge there is also a path that leads directly to the waterfall with its great tree roots. You can't get any closer than that.

The waterfall was bone dry today
