The construction was partially funded by donations. Steps and steel girders bear the names of donors. For the ascent, a small contribution is requested in a collection box at the bottom of the stairs to finance the upkeep (March 2021: adults 1 €, families 2 €).

The Altenberg Tower was inaugurated on October 7, 2007. It is 42.5 m in total and 35.18 m high from the ground to the viewing platform; the parapet of the completely covered platform is at a height of about 600 m.

The Hagberg Tower is a 23-meter-high observation tower on the Hagberg in the Welzheim Forest. On the ground around the tower, you have a panoramic view of all regions when the weather is clear - magnificent.
