The Meisterturm is a 30.8-meter[1] (approximately 37 meters including the antenna) high observation tower in Hofheim am Taunus. It is located at 292 meters above sea level[2] on the wooded Kapellenberg hill northwest of the town. Today, it only rises a few meters above the surrounding trees. However, it offers a complete panoramic view: to the south over the Rhine-Main region, and on a clear day as far as the Odenwald forest; to the north, the Taunus mountain range, including the Großer Feldberg.

The path through the forest up to the tower was pretty steep. To climb the tower myself, I had to climb 173 steps! The view, however, compensates for the strenuous journey and the ascent. The view is simply gigantic!

Was a nice tour

Anyone who climbs the really steep mountain to the tower will be rewarded with magnificent views of the Rhine-Main plain, Odenwald, Taunus, Rheingau and Rheinhessen. The tower offers a 360 degree panorama. The tower itself is also an impressive appearance. A delicate steel structure with a narrow spiral staircase and a platform made of gratings for looking through. Nothing for weak nerves.

For me one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the region. The very filigree steel construction and the very narrow spiral staircase are something special. The view of the Taunus, Frankfurt, the Odenwald, etc. is terrific.
