The ruin has an observation tower. Great view along the Ermstal

Not much is left of the ruins. Not surprising, since the building was destroyed more than 600 years ago. The appeal that this place spreads is based on the wonderful vantage points across to the rocks on the opposite side of the valley and to the imposing castle in the north. In addition, this place is ideal for letting time pass by and enjoying life in the sun. If that is too passive for you, you may like to examine the wild hills and chasms that once represented the castle grounds.

Not nearly as well known and overcrowded as Lichtenstein Castle. Nice view and a stone gate as well as several remains of the wall.

On the information board there is interesting information about the old Lichtenstein, e.g. that its beginnings go back to the year 1150

The area around Lichtenstein is worth seeing in all seasons !!!! There is also something for every fitness level. In winter, however, extreme caution is required on some trails ⚠️ If you go it alone, at least one person should know about your planned tour. Activated life location cannot be wrong

The castle was probably built between 1150 and 1250. It was torn apart during the Imperial War in 1311, but it was rebuilt in 1315. However, it was destroyed again during the Reutlingen City War from 1377 to 1388.
