The Tegelberg mountain station is a popular starting point for hikers, paragliders, and nature lovers. Located at an altitude of approximately 1,700 meters, it is easily accessible by the Tegelberg cable car. From the station, guests can enjoy impressive panoramic views over the Alpine foothills and Hohenschwangau, as far as the Zugspitze on a clear day.

You simply have to climb the local mountain when you are in Oberammergau and you will be rewarded with a fantastic view!

The via ferrata is well secured with a steel cable. That doesn't make the ascent any less demanding, but it gave me a lot of confidence. Quite a steep ascent, although I found the beginning of the climb to be the most challenging, just a bit tricky going down.

The Tegelberg is a striking mountain massif rising steeply from the foothills of the Alps near Schwangau in the Ammergau Alps in the southern district of Ostallgäu in Bavaria. The highest point with a height of 1881 m above sea level. NHN is the Branderschrofen.
