Wildenberg Castle can only be reached on foot. The impressive Wildenberg Castle ruins are hidden on the spur of the Schlossberg, high above the valley of the Mud. The builders of this castle from the Staufer period are said to be the Lords of Dürn, who were also protectors of the Amorbach monastery. The artistic window arcades and the palace with the gigantic fireplace are interesting. You can still see many signs of the former stonemasons and inscriptions of its builders. The question is, did Wolfgang von Eschenbach really write his "Parzival" in the castle around 1200? In 1356 an earthquake is said to have severely damaged the castle. In the Peasants' War of the 16th century it was peasants from the "Hellen Haufen" of the knight Götz von Berlichingen who burned down the castle.

Nice, easy-to-drive trail with difficulty S1, 3 sections with medium technical difficulty and accordingly also marked "red". The trail is varied, smaller jumps, runs through ditches and smaller berms.
