A popular photo spot - sitting majestically on the throne with the castle tower in the background.

The "Throne" was commissioned by the House of Baden in 2015 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the city of Karlsruhe, in memory of Margrave Karl III Wilhelm of Baden-Durlach. Designed by an artist, it was then cast in bronze and finally installed at the palace. The margravial throne rests on a tree stump, inviting anyone who wishes to sit and play the margrave for a moment. Andi Bräu is centrally located and easily accessible. It's best visited by bike on the way to Karlsruhe in good weather.

Near Germersheim, the cycle path leads past the railway bridge below, paved with excellent asphalt, to the Old Brickworks. A great section. It's best to start early in the morning, then you'll have the race track (almost) to yourself.

Very nice view of Obergrombach

This artistic signpost leads along one of the axes of the Karlsruhe Fan from the palace to the Majolika. It was created in 2001 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Karlsruhe Ceramics Manufactory. South of the palace, toward the city center, there are two axes of the same design, lined with yellow glazed tiles, the "sunbeams."
