The Hausbachfall in Reit im Winkl is an impressive waterfall located in the middle of an idyllic gorge on the edge of the town center. The Hausbach stream plunges down several steps, offering visitors a fascinating natural spectacle. A hiking trail with walkways and bridges leads directly through the narrow gorge, allowing visitors to experience the waterfall up close. Especially in spring, when meltwater causes the stream to swell, the Hausbachfall reveals its full power. Reit im Winkl's waterfall, the Hausbachfall, is a small landmark of the town. The Hausbach stream rushes down the Hausberg mountain in the north, very close to the town center. Especially after heavy rainfall, enormous masses of water rush down through the gorge. In hot, dry summers, however, it is sometimes barely visible. Beautiful path, great views and little experiences. Especially on hot sunny days, the path is easy to do thanks to the shady forests and cooling natural pools, even uphill with a child carrier. Maybe think about water shoes, because it can be very slippery in the waterfalls. And remember that in summer the last descent into the valley with the Almbahn is at 4:15 p.m., so start early enough if you want to have enough time at the top.

Not easy to walk, but worth the effort. Children between the ages of seven and twelve will have fun. Tip: take swimming trunks and towels for the children.

Well, you can't get enough of looking at it, it's your own fault if you drive past here... Can only be reached via steep stairs. If you drive the Rauschbergloop clockwise it goes down, uphill only recommended for Alpine crossers...😉🙋♂️
